Gathering with friends is a wonderful blessing. It gives us the opportunity to share, to listen, and to simply spend time together. Getting together is a wonderful way to build community, honor special occasions, and simply to celebrate the everyday pleasures of life.
When we gather with our friends, there’s almost always some sort of food laid out. People tend to gather in the kitchen, and whether or not a meal is planned, having snacks to serve is never a bad thing.
Last weekend we gathered with some friends at another friend’s house. The hostess asked if I would bring a treat to share. When my son suggested that we make Grain-Free Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies (recipe HERE), I decided that would be a great choice. They are easy to grab, delicious, and I knew everyone who would be present would be able to eat them (and he was absolutely right with his choice – the cookies disappeared extremely rapidly).
If Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies aren’t exactly the type of treat you’re looking to serve at your next gathering, here are ten other recipes that might work for you. All of these are easy to pack up and transport, in case the gathering isn’t at your house.

I also feel compelled to note, that while my food photography still leaves a lot to be desired (as does my photography in general), I can see a lot of improvement since the beginning of this blog. Please don’t hold my poor photography skills against my recipes. They taste better than they look. ::wink::
