We all have many things on our to-do lists, sometimes far more than we can do in a day (see HERE). But the things that make it on to my list generally aren’t the sorts of things that would concern me if I faced my death without completing them. While it’s good to get everyday tasks completed, my most-important priorities fall outside of basic to-dos (see HERE).
When I saw this quote, it left me wondering: what would I never want to leave undone? Here are the four things I came up with.
- Saying, “I love you,” to my husband and boys.
- Saying, “I’m sorry,” to someone I’ve wronged.
- Taking the time, even if it’s only a few minutes, to enjoy something I love.
- Reflecting on what I’m thankful for and the goodness of the day.
“Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone.” –Pablo Picasso
What things are you not willing to leave undone at the end of your day?
