I came across this quote today and it rang true with me. The most interesting people I know are those who are curious. Curious people are always exploring new ideas, learning new things, and discovering new facets of the world around them.
I watch the natural curiosity innate in my two boys, and I love that I have the opportunity to learn and explore and grow with them. I learn not only through my own questions and curiosities, but I also learn through their increasingly complex inquiries.
Whether I’m learning about natural remedies, experimenting in my kitchen, or trying to figure out whether Einstein’s Theory of Relativity means that time travel is possible (my 6-year-old was asking me about this recently – I’m going to need to really need to upgrade my physics knowledge in order to keep up with these discussions, and I’m no science slouch), I find life to be more exciting when I’m learning about something new.
“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.” — Henry Ford
