We eat a lot of trail mix in our house. The simple combination of nuts, seeds, and dried fruit is easy to grab when we need a quick snack, and is perfect to bring as a snack when we’re on the go. We simply grab the jar out of our refrigerator, toss it into the backpack, and we’re off.
Our latest favorite trail mix blend is super simple, but wonderfully delicious (and addictive!). It features two ingredients: salted macadamia nuts and dried blueberries.
About a week ago, my 6-year-old combined these two things (he makes his own trail mix — see HERE — which means he pretty much makes it for all of us). I looked at it kind of askance, thinking it was going to be a bit boring. But we’ve managed to go through three quart jars in less than a week, which pretty clearly indicates that we’re all loving it.

- 2/3 cup Roasted, Salted Macadamia Nuts
- 1/3 cup Dried Blueberries
