Keeping Cold Germs at Bay

A few days ago a friend came over with her two children. One of them had a drippy nose.

While my boys are typically very healthy, I know there have been a couple of terrible cold and flu bugs circulating about town. My toddler’s teething is tough enough; I really didn’t want to face two sick children.

But instead of calling off our playdate, I added a drop of Thieves essential oil and a drop of Orange essential oil to my diffuser and turned it on (I get my essential oils HERE).

Thieves is a potent blend of immunity-boosting oils — clove, lemon, cinnamon, eucalyptus, and rosemary – that together smell like fall. As described on the Young Living Website, “Thieves was created based on research about four thieves in France who covered themselves with cloves, rosemary, and other aromatics while robbing plague victims. This proprietary essential oil blend was university tested for its cleansing abilities. It is highly effective in supporting the immune system and good health.”

Orange, in addition to smelling amazing, is rich in the powerful antioxidant d-limonene and aids in maintaining normal cellular regeneration.

Together, these two oils helped to stave off cold germs and made my house smell wonderful.
