We love to grill year round, but especially in the summertime when it keeps some of the heat of cooking out of our house. Hamburgers are an American summer grilling staple. Since we eat our hamburgers bun free (I haven’t yet experimented with grain-free hamburger buns), I often make great toppings to go on top of them.
One of our favorite ways to eat burgers is to top them with homemade guacamole and sautéed mushrooms. This is a fairly easy meal to prepare, and it tastes great.
Here’s how I make them:

Prepare and cook your hamburgers as you like them.
Top hamburger with guacamole and mushrooms.
Serve and enjoy.
NOTE: We eat our Guacamole Mushroom Burgers on a plate with a fork, but you could place this on a bun (just don’t heap the toppings quite so high) or place it in a lettuce wrap for a more-traditional, hand-held burger experience.
