Feeling the Coziness of Autumn by Diffusing Fall Scents

Cool crisp mornings tell me that fall is on its way. I love the scents and flavors of fall, so as soon as it starts, I find myself wanting to bake delicious treats, which naturally makes the house smell lovely.

Fall Scents
Thieves, Orange, and Cinnamon Bark: one of my favorite Fall Scent combinations.

When I’m not baking, I love to use the scents of essential oils to fill my home with the Smells of Fall. While artificial fragrances quickly give me a headache, I find pure natural essential oils smell wonderful (much better than any artificial scent) and leave me feeling great.

I use these Food-Grade oils (which are actually sold as dietary supplements — you can cook with them or ingest them) the same way I would use their whole-spice counterparts.  I can put a few drops of each in some water and simmer them on my stove, or I can drop them in my diffuser and spread the scent around.  The combination I’m currently enjoying is Thieves, Orange, and Cinnamon Bark. Not only do these oils smell amazing and wonderfully like fall, the Thieves oil also helps to support healthy immune function as we head into the time of year when we’re spending more time indoors and germs seem more likely to spread.

A combination of Cinnamon Bark and Clove is another wonderful smell that I associate with fall. Finally, I love the combined scents of Ginger, Clove, and Nutmeg.

Honestly, any combination of those essential oils (Thieves, Orange, Cinnamon Bark, Clove, Ginger, and Nutmeg — I order mine HERE) would smell fantastic. And all of these scents help me to conjure the good feelings I associate with fall celebrations.

Now I feel ready to invite friends over for pumpkin pie.

What are your favorite Fall Scents? Do you enjoy filling your home with delicious smells during fall?
