The morns are meeker than they were,
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry’s cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.
The maple wears a gayer scarf,
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old-fashioned,
I’ll put a trinket on.
–Emily Dickinson, Autumn
Autumn is here. Beautiful, crisp, a final celebration before our little part of the world fades into the renewing slumber of winter.
The cozy weather has us spending more time indoors, although we’re still outside a lot. We’re doing more baking (see HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE), more reading (see HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE), and more game playing (see HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE). We’re planning for the upcoming holidays. We’re enjoying this season of joy and abundance.
Has Fall presented itself in your part of the world?
